Key responsibilities

  • Review and analyze requirements and (technical) system specifications
  • Collaborate with developers and architects to develop effective test strategies and plans
  • Lead the charge towards greater and more effective test automation
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Help troubleshoot issues•Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the agile development lifecycle
  • Assist the QA Community with ongoing improvements to QA processes and alignment opportunities of multiple test frameworks

Technical skills and experience

  • Bachelor's or  Master’s degree in statistics, business, economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, research, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role (minimum 3 years)
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Working knowledge of Behaviour-driven Development (BDD)
  • Working knowledge of Cucumber
  • Working knowledge of SAP and IBM WCS
  • Ability to write automation scripts in JS (JavaScript) or TypeScript
  • Good experience of API testing
  • Working knowledge of Selenium
  • Experience setting up and developing the CI/CD pipeline (Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git)
  • Experience of mobile device testing (iOS and Android)
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, X-Ray, (Confluence a plus)
  • Experienced in documenting and troubleshoot errors

Personal skills

  • Available to travel, in safe conditions (after the global situation will change)
  • Excellent communication skills (English mandatory, Dutch is a plus)
  • Flexible, dynamic personality who works well partnering/collaborating in a matrixed team environment
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver results on multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and in an unstructured environment, requiring minimal direction, executing large projects following established guidelines/procedures and taking the initiative to explore and solve problems
  • Desire to work collaboratively with your teammates to come up with the best solution to a problem
  • Excellent relationship building skills, true team player
  • Adaptable person, analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Eager to learn from everyone and everything and not afraid to fail because you understand we need to adapt to ever-changing consumer needs and super-fast tech evolvements
  • Eager to share knowledge with others
